Documents Required To Process A Claim

Once we accept liability for a Motor Claim, GLICO GENERAL requires the following documents to complete the Claims process. The documents requested may vary depending on the type of Claim.

I. Injury claims related to road traffic accident:
  • The original Police report 
  • The original medical report
  • The original receipts of medical bills incurred (to justify cost being claimed for)
  • Personal particulars such as name, date of birth, sex etc
  • Two passport size pictures to be endorsed by the medical officer 
  • An Affidavit

II. Claims related to Death:
  • Original Police report 
  • Death certificate or burial permit.
  • Personal particulars of the deceased.
  • Affidavit
  • Two passport size pictures to be endorsed by the medical officer 
  • Letters of administration.
  • Registrars certificate where the deceased is below 18 years

III.Claims related to Property Damage: 
  • Original Police report 
  • An estimate of the cost of repairs
  • Pictures of the damaged property
  • Affidavit
  • A valuation or survey report from our engineers
